Inside Sales Support Specialist (NOVA)

We are looking for a tech savvy Inside Sales Support Specialist to join our Richmond based team.  The main focus of this position is to assist in creating new solar proposals for our residential clients along with other inside sales support tasks as required.  These tasks include supporting our sales team members with design questions, maintaining our in-house CRM, and coordinating community events as needed.  This position offers a great opportunity to gain experience in the quickly growing solar field, using technology (especially Excel) while learning about emerging technologies used in the renewable field.

The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. The job environment is stable, based on known relationships with people and well-defined processes. Job knowledge and competency is built through structured step-by-step training and positive, supportive coaching from management and peers. Communication with others is based on knowledge of repetitive job routines and procedures gained from sufficient on the job experience. Consistent, error free work based on defined regulations and standards are key measures of job performance success. The job environment promotes steady, methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on time and error-free. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert, who, recognized and supported by management and a stable work environment, can deliver quality work on a consistent basis. 

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Creating residential solar designs and proposals
  • Compiling and organizing virtual customer files
  • Developing and maintaining various spreadsheets
  • Maintaining internal CRM flow and providing updates to partners’ CRM(s)
  • Assist in finding and registering for events

The role is fast-paced with the expectation to meet quick turnaround deadlines, both internally and externally. Ideal candidate will be technically inclined and very comfortable using Excel functions and spreadsheets.
