Job Description and Responsibilities

Sigora Solar looking for an Electrician to join our Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Missouri crew. The Sigora Solar Electrician will perform photovoltaic power system tie-ins on residential and commercial projects, apply knowledge of NEC, be a resource for field operations regarding code requirements and AHJ expectations, and act as quality control for electrical work being done by field operations.  They will coordinate with various jurisdictions and utilities to ensure Sigora methods are both up to code and acceptable to the utilities. Must be willing to work occasional weekends and overnight out of town.

  • OSHA 10 or greater required
  • Journeyman license or greater required

Job Description and Responsibilities

We are currently looking to immediately fill the position of Field Verification Technician to work throughout the state of Virginia.  This position would be responsible for attending final inspections for our residential solar installations with the jurisdiction inspectors.  When there are issues that arise that would prevent a system from passing final inspections, the inspection specialist would make the simple fixes that would allow the system to pass.  Other duties include reporting on the completion status of inspections and scheduling inspections as time permits. The inspection specialist must have own vehicle to transport inspection supplies and collapsible ladder to appointments. This position offers a great opportunity to learn a lot about solar technology and begin a career in a rapidly expanding field (for the right person). It would be great for someone planning to go into electrical work or training programs or the renewable energy field.

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Commercial Sales Executive will report to the Director of Commercial Sales and will perform various tasks associated with commercial solar sales. This role will be responsible for generating leads, developing proposals/contracts, analyzing project financials, presenting sales materials, executing contracts, and performing many other technical sales related activities. While not a requirement, the ideal candidate will have experience working for a solar energy company or other technical product/service sales experience. The ideal candidate must have experience with direct sales, business development, lead generation, and be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to identify and generate B2B leads
  • Pre-qualify commercial clients for solar
  • Analyze solar resource and prepare proposals, contracts, and other sales documentation
  • Prepare and lead sales presentations for direct purchase, finance, lease, and PPA models
  • Effective demonstration of sales process, able to identify buying criteria, eliminate objections, and develop solutions to close the sale
  • Identify local community and business organizations for strategic partnerships
  • Manage and prioritize daily workload
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Prepare and present reports to supervisor(s)
  • Comfortable with projects ranging between $50,000 and $2 million
  • Travel within our operating territory including to remote locations as needed (company vehicles may be provided)

    Sigora Solar is seeking a New Build Supervisor for our Virginia market. This individual will be the main point of contact for our new build partners. Below are some of the main job responsibilities:

    • Track and make sure that Sigora is included in their gantt charts
    • Be able to communicate internally when resources are needed in a timely manner (schedule rough ins)
    • Handle issues that arise between the homeowners, builders, and Sigora
    • Input data into our systems (CHUCK, I360, etc.)
    • Prepare estimates pre-construction work, installation and post construction activities
    • Manage costs and job budgets, also oversee employees and sub-contractors, pertaining to job requirements
    • Must have working knowledge of application procedures and instruct the field in the proper use of the products
    • Communicate and over-see job schedule to the work-force
    • Coordinate time schedules with other trades on areas of the job that require joint services
    • Order materials pertaining to take off and review quantities, estimate labor costs and set up crews with the necessary tools to perform the project
    • Determining costs associated with change orders and submitting to contractor for approval
    • Communicate all discrepancies to management to maintain schedule for completion of projects

    • 3-5 years of experience in constructions related business preferred

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    Sigora Solar is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in an accounting department along with a degree in accounting. We are looking for a talented and diligent professional to help further the mission of our company.

    • Prepare and compile documents to accurately book cash and tax transactions
    • Perform banking operations: wire, ACH, debit card transactions
    • Keep track of all credit card receipts
    • Assisting with interdepartmental finance requests
    • Following up with vendor contracts regarding payments
    • Tracking cash forecasting
    • Tax filing
    • Perform month-end close duties

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
    • At least 2 years of accounting experience
