Sigora Solar is seeking a highly-driven, experienced Director of Commercial Sales. As a Director of Commercial Sales, you will be responsible for maximizing profits from all Sigora markets and grow the business. This role is critical in the development and implementation of the sales strategy. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of large-scale, complex, and technical sales and solar experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and communicating with executives to create new leads and maintain current client relationships
  • Communicate with sales operations, engineering, and project management team in the entire lifecycle of each sales project
  • Analyzing solar resource and prepare proposals, contracts, and other sales documentation
  • Maintaining an accurate report of pipeline activities and ensuring each is updated
  • Developing and proposing contract negotiations as the commercial lead

Qualifications/Requirements

We are seeking a tech-savvy Sales Operations Coordinator to join our Charlottesville team. This individual will be a technical resource for the sales team, including helping with jurisdictions, utilities, general building/electric code, and rebates. The ideal candidate will be open to a swing shift (12-8 or 1-9). This position is the link between sales and operations by making sure the sales team is handing over quality deals to operations to execute on. The main focus of this position includes supporting our sales team members with design questions and maintaining our in-house CRM. We will train you and constantly be a resource, but you’ll be expected to become the primary go-to person for your team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and organizing tracking such as sales promotions, referrals, and commissions
  • Analyzing sales projects to gain full insight into both sales and operations departments
  • Use multiple softwares such as proposal app, DocuSign, GIS websites, a detailed solar modeling tool, a CRM, online automation software, multiple financing portals, and Google Sheets/Excel

  • Solid technical background of solar systems and/or components. This includes photovoltaic modules, racking or tracking systems, inverters, balance-of-system (AC and DC), transformers, switchgear.

Sigora Solar looking for an Electrician to join our Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Missouri crew. The Sigora Solar Electrician will perform photovoltaic power system tie-ins on residential and commercial projects, apply knowledge of NEC, be a resource for field operations regarding code requirements and AHJ expectations, and act as quality control for electrical work being done by field operations.  They will coordinate with various jurisdictions and utilities to ensure Sigora methods are both up to code and acceptable to the utilities. Must be willing to work occasional weekends and overnight out of town.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Sigora Solar’s Department of Design + Engineering is now hiring a full-time employee administrative professional to join our team as a Virginia Permitting Specialist. The mission of the Department of Design and Engineering is to provide every one of our customers with the most code-compliant and top performing solar system possible while maintaining economic responsibility via thoughtful design and proper equipment selection.

Working under the supervision of the Permitting + Engineering Manager, the Permitting Specialist will be involved in nearly every project the department takes on in some regard. This position is based in our Waynesboro, VA office. Primary and specific responsibilities are as follows:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in filling out permit applications
  • Assist in assembling documents into permit application packets
  • Serve as primary permit runner for jurisdictions that do not allow mailed in applications and coordinate with staff to ensure permits are submitted and picked up in a timely manner
  • Scan issued permits, upload to server, update in-house database and file hard-copies
  • Maintain records for accounting department of checks written to authorities having jurisdiction
  • Assist Permitting Coordinator with specific projects as requested
  • Other administrative duties as assigned by the Permitting + Engineering Manager

Qualifications/Requirements

Job Description and Responsibilities

Sigora Solar’s Department of Design + Engineering is now hiring a full-time employee as their new Residential PV Designer. The mission of the Department of Design + Engineering is to provide every one of our customers with the most code-compliant and top performing solar system possible while maintaining economic responsibility via thoughtful design and proper equipment selection.

Working under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Design + Engineering, the Residential PV Designer will be an integral part of Sigora’s growth and success. This person must understand engineering and design concepts and have a strong aptitude for quality and efficiency. Depending on what suits the applicant, this position may be based out of any of our office locations including Waynesboro, Charlottesville or Richmond, Virginia as well as our newest location in Raleigh, North Carolina. Initial training will take place in Waynesboro, Virginia.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Draft One Line diagrams, structural diagrams and site plans using AutoCAD and Google SketchUp.
  • Research, document and comply with local and national electrical code requirements per individual Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
  • Work closely with the Design + Engineering Coordinator to obtain roof structure certification letters and/or any other PE sealed plans required.
  • Make revisions to drawings as a result of client or AHJ request.
  • Perform various tasks to assist with commercial projects as needed.
  • Populate bill of materials for each residential project using Fishbowl.
  • Assist Sales Team and Project Managers with the response to RFPs, RFIs, bids, and other project proposal documents as needed.
  • Monitor and track progress on all projects. Communicate with team members and other departments/entities regarding project status.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, an earth sciences discipline (biology, chemistry, geology, natural resources, etc.), related scientific degree, or design.
  • Demonstrated high-level proficiency in computer aided design applications including AutoCAD and SketchUp. Experience with Google Earth and ArcGIS is preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills; high level of proficiency working in Excel spreadsheets and data management systems.
  • Creativity is Key. We need someone that has an eye for design and can think outside of the box.
  • Having an open mind is also an absolute must. With the rate of evolution in the solar industry, our methods are constantly progressing to stay ahead of the curve and we need someone that is hungry for a dynamic work environment.

Sigora Solar is seeking a Warehouse & Inventory Manager for the following locations: Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Missouri, Kansas, Florida, Massachusetts, and Illinois. The Warehouse & Inventory Manager will oversee sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management and lead our warehouse team, while acting as a key liaison between our company, our vendors, and our operations team to ensure alignment with inventory management and our strategic goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the activities, suppliers, and vendors involved in product sourcing and procurement, purchasing, materials planning, production planning, inventory control, logistics and distribution to ensure customer orders are timely fulfilled and inventory goals are met.
  • Ensuring timely and proper communication with customers regarding installation scheduling issues; build effective relationships across our customers, partners and suppliers.
  • Working closely with other functions to drive overall supply chain improvements and efficiencies, while working across the company to drive overall customer satisfaction in a cost-efficient manner.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Sigora Solar is seeking a Director of Account Management to lead our account management team in Virginia. This individual will oversee the account management department and will be responsible for all customer related issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, communicate to the team and modify, as necessary, the process flow
  • As budget dictates, build, train and manage a team of Account Managers
  • Monitor the progress of every Sigora project through its lifecycle, ensuring that expectations are met or exceeded
  • Communicate with all Sigora customers (post sales contract approval) throughout their entire journey
  • Act as the liaison between the customer and each department of Sigora Solar
  • Responsible for all inbound service phone calls, creating work orders and scheduling and dispatching field technicians
  • Scheduling, dispatching, and managing all service technicians, site assessors, inspections, installations, and service appointments
  • Additional responsibilities as defined by the COO, including, but not limited to representing Sigora Solar at social and networking functions, public speaking, advocating and business development
